Daviess County Library

Director's Message

We are pleased to provide this online presence for your convenience and enrichment.

It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Daviess County Library. I follow a long line of exceptional library directors--Mrs. Ina Naylor, Mrs. Jan Johnson, and Mrs. Allison Dobric--the library you experience now is a culmination of leadership and vision from these previous directors and a little bit from me.

The library is guided and supported by an outstanding board of five  trustees who take their responsibility to you, the tax-payer, seriously, be it fiscal responsibility or approving policy. These five volunteers represent the four corners of our county and serve a renewal term of 2 years.

We endeavor to offer materials from the classics to emerging 21st Century authors; from romance to thriller; from non-fiction to science fiction; and for all ages, genders, and religious backgrounds. Enjoy browsing!

As Library Director, I wish to extend an open door to your questions, comments, and requests. We truly enjoy your feedback from the latest, greatest book you read, to the next program you would love to see the library provide.

Literacy rocks!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth S Plotner, Director
